Final Game of Summer 2012 play tonight!
You should be! This is our final week, and our tournament is just this weekend. If you haven't yet checked who you are playing in a few hours, hop over to our site here: http://www.windsorultimate.com/calendar/event/12 and you will see.
Tournament this weekend 8/25/2012
As mentioned in previous newsletters, our final end of the year tournament is this weekend starting at 9:30AM (games start at 10AM sharp till around 2:30PM) on Saturday. All teams will play 3 games each, they will be timed (like our double headers) and you will get plenty of time to take a break in between for food and refreshments. A porta-potty has been ordered so we will have bathrooms nearby! You will be playing same teams as you have all season, so brush up on some strategy and jump in swinging.
If you are unable to attend the tournament, please contact your team captain and let them know. After our tournament we will meet at Just your Average Joes for our end of the Summer party (food and prizes will be provided!)
Indoor Fall League
If you are interested to playing some indoor Ultimate when it gets cold and dark, head over to our fall league section, and read up on all the exciting details. Payment is handled via the complex, so we will not be doing on-line payment through our site (only waiting list). http://www.windsorultimate.com/league/overview/fall-league-2012
Annual General Meeting on 8/29/2012
As Windsor Ultimate is a non-profit, we have to have an annual meeting to get feedback from our members, and also to keep evolving. This year we are going to have a Pickup Ultimate game before the meeting at our field (6:30 start) then we shall meet for 8:30 ish for an AGM.
It is important that people attend this meeting as we will be discussing changes to our Board Members and any open positions we are looking to fill. So if you are a person that would love to help out and give back to the community (without a lot of time). Please let us know! As a non-profit, this is something you can have on your resume as a great leadership reference. More details to come!
