Toronto Rush crowned ultimate Frisbee champions

The Toronto Rush ultimate Frisbee team completed a perfect 18-0 season Sunday by capturing the American Ultimate Disc League championship in Chicago.

The Rush held off the Madison (Wis.) Radicals 16-14 in a hard-fought final at Lane Tech Stadium to collect the $20,000 top prize. The Rush are the only Canadian team in the 12-team AUDL, which launched in 2012.

The Rush went into the second half with a narrow one-point lead, 8-7, in what would continue to be a low-scoring game with strong defensive efforts from both teams.
