As mentioned in the clinic and via newsletter, we will be focusing on two key strategic plays this year (as well as vertical stack). To better understand the dynamics and logistics behind it, I wanted to show people a great Ultimate Frisbee resource — the Ultimate Handbook

2nd Clinic May 26th @ Realtor Park

Our 2nd Clinic will be this week Wednesday at Realtor Park (same place as last week). For those that did not come out, it is highly recommended you come out to get an idea of how to play the game. We will be focusing on strategic play, how to use ZONE coverage, utilizing a CUP defense, also a horizontal stack formation.

IF we have rain (and the city closes the field) we will make our way to the Average Joe’s park (as it is not a city park).

Summer Clinics coming up!

I know all of you are looking at your calendars and waiting in anticipation for the official beginning of our season. And as you know we are starting off with two adult training clinics on May 6th and 13th.

These clinics are here to teach valuable skills and to brush up on the old stuff you went over last season (for those veterans), as well as to learn something new. This is a must for everyone new or old, get valuable info at these clinics by attending and training with the rest of the league. We promise it will be fun!

If you haven’t already registered and want to attend please register first, so we get an idea of attendance levels.

Things to bring:

League Fee ($50)
Water / Snack
Two shirts (dark or white)
Cleats (help with traction)
Friends!

Adult Beginner’s Clinic

Learn how to play Ultimate Frisbee on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Tranby Park from 6pm-8pm.. Members of Windsor Ultimate will teach you the rules and techniques used to play the game. This is a fun, high-energy co-Ed team sport. It is the perfect way to get into shape for the summer.

The clinics are free. All players should bring water and cleats if they can. Discs or frisbees will be available for purchase. Come out to see what you have been missing!
